After the BA Degree
Some English majors go on to graduate school or to teach English in other academic or nonacademic settings. Others choose from a wide variety of careers available to them. Career Advising and Planning Services (CAPS) is an university office for helping University of Chicago students and alumni pursue their careers. CAPS helps students prepare for entering the job market through a variety of services, programs, and resources. The office also strives to provide job and internship opportunities in a variety of fields and to promote University of Chicago talent to a wide range of employers and institutions. CAPS has also worked with students, alumni, parents, and employers to build, maintain, and access the University of Chicago's dynamic global employment network.
