I draw from Marxist criticism, archival study, and creative practice to examine how colonial narratives found in travel and hunting memoirs stage domination over colonized land(scape) and form a report of masculinity, spectacle, and environmental violence — and to speculate on how these scripts might still persist in contemporary culture. My writing practice includes prose, screenwriting, and hybrid forms. Two dogs have me, and they make life worth living.
