I am interested in the relationships between lyrics and persons as theorized variously in the modern history of poetry and its criticism, and also in the way these relationships shape the modernist and postcolonial inflections of post-Romantic poetics. I co-coordinate the English Department Workshop's 20th and 21st Century Cultures Series and am an associate editor at Chicago Review.
