Biography
Brady Smith was raised in Iowa and attended Boston College before serving in the Peace Corps in the Republic of Cape Verde from 2006-2008. He has been at the University of Chicago since the fall of 2008.
Research Interests
African literatures and literatures of the environment; comparative literature; Anglophone and Lusophone postcolonial theory; ecocriticism; the novel; urban studies; and the history of children's literature.
