I am interested in ideologies of discipline and conjugality within the British empire that were disseminated through vernacular and anglophone literary texts, and were manifest in domestic and embodied praxis through the long nineteenth century. I am curious about the cultural matrix of the home and its material productions, and what these might tell us about women’s labour and political engagement as they operated within imperial and decolonial agendas of the time.
I intern for the International Research Network on Postcolonial Print Cultures and am part of the fiction staff at Chicago Review.
