Biography
I am looking to connect post-WWII American art and literature with that in France and North Africa, trying to understand the overlapping natures of nationalism, colonialism, and race through resistance. Currently I am working on a project on hunger strikes in Morocco and Algeria and some of the rippling connections, some real and others imaginary, they had in the literary world. I have a BA from Northwestern University and MFA from the University of Maryland.
