Originally from Westport, Connecticut, Zoe got her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her M.A. from University College London. In between her B.A. and M.A., she taught A.P. Literature at a charter school on the border of Texas and Mexico. Zoe wrote her Master's thesis on the relationship between formal education and creative intelligence in the fiction of James Joyce. At present, she is thinking about the symbolism of animals in modern literature and the history of education, more generally.
