Biography
I am interested in how contact, negotiation, and justification in colonial and post-colonial contexts generate specific aesthetic, ethical, and intimate responses.
My teaching and research broadly takes up literary and cultural objects within the long 20th century pertaining to Anglophone literatures, trans-oceanic crossings, and postcolonial theory.
Courses I have taught recently include: Postcolonial Aesthetics, The Lives of Others, and Race and Governmentality.
